Create Lighting Schedules for Your Smart Home

How do I create schedules for my lights?

An unlimited amount of lighting schedules can easily be created through the Home Assistant mobile app.

  Step One
Open the Home Assistant mobile application
and navigate to the "Categories" menu.

  Step Two
     Navigate to the "Lighting" category.

  Step Three
Navigate to the "Schedules" section of the
     "Lighting" category.

  Step Four
In the schedules section you will be shown
a list containing all of your existing schedules.

To create a new schedule hit the "ADD" button
located at the bottom of the list.

  Step Five
You will be greeted with the schedule configuration
menu where you can select which light(s) you would
like to create a schedule for.

Info
Multiple lights can be added to a single schedule.

  Step Six
Once you have selected the light(s) you want
to schedule, scroll to the bottom of the screen.

Here you will find three different buttons. If
you want to create a basic schedule that turns
the selected light(s) ON or OFF at a specified
time of day, select either "TURN OFF" or "TURN ON"

If you would like a more complex schedule
that turns the light(s) ON and OFF at different
     times throughout the day, then
     select "MAKE SCHEME".

Hit the "NEXT" button at the very bottom
once you have selected your lights and action.

  Step Seven
Here you can set the parameters of your schedule.
For the basic "TURN OFF" and "TURN ON" actions
you will be greeted with a similar screen.

You can choose to define the brightness that the light
turns on at. You can specify the days the schedule will
run on. You can specify the exact time the schedule
will run at, or you can hit the sun and moon icon to the
right of the time, and trigger the schedule based on
     sunset and sunrise instead.
