My Motion Sensor isn't Working

Let's start by checking the battery level of your motion sensor. You can do this through your smart home mobile app.



    Step One
    Open the Home Assistant mobile application
     and navigate to the "Settings" menu.
























    Step Two
    Once in the "Settings" menu, navigate to the
    "Battery Monitor" section.
























    Step Three
    From here you will be able to view the current
    state of all your battery devices. If the sensor
    that is causing you issues displays a low battery,
    or is listed as unavailable, you should replace the
    battery.

    Once replaced the sensor should reconnect
    automatically.

















If your motion sensor is still failing to work after replacing the battery, or if the battery level is not the issue, you should verify that the automation controlling the sensor is still enabled. You can do this by navigating to the "Automations" section of the mobile app, which can be found under "Settings".
