Understanding Your Luxeia System — Device Overview

Your Luxeia Smart Home system is made up of several types of devices that work together to give you seamless control of your home. This article explains each component and what it does.

The Smart Hub

The smart hub is the brain of your Luxeia system. It connects to your home Wi-Fi network and communicates with all your smart devices using the Zigbee wireless protocol. All devices in your home connect through the hub, which in turn communicates with the Luxeia app on your phone. The hub must remain plugged in and online for your devices to function remotely.

Smart Lighting

Luxeia smart bulbs and light switches can be controlled individually or in groups. They support dimming, colour temperature adjustment, and full RGB colour control (depending on the model). Lights can be automated using schedules or scenes within the app.

Smart Heating

Luxeia smart thermostats and thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) allow you to control the temperature in individual rooms or across your whole home. They support multiple heating modes including scheduled, manual, and away mode.

Smart Window Treatments

Luxeia motorised blinds and curtain controllers allow you to automate the opening and closing of your window coverings. They can be scheduled, triggered by sunrise/sunset, or linked to lighting scenes.

Motion and Contact Sensors

Luxeia sensors detect movement or whether doors and windows are open or closed. They can be used to trigger automations — for example, turning lights on when motion is detected in a hallway.

The Luxeia Mobile App

The app is your central control point for all devices. From the app you can control devices manually, create rooms and groups, build automations and scenes, and manage your system settings. The app is available on iOS and Android.

Voice Assistant Integration

Your Luxeia devices are compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, allowing you to control your smart home using voice commands. See our Voice Assistant articles for setup instructions.
