If your Luxeia smart hub is behaving unexpectedly — such as failing to control devices, losing its connection, or showing error indicators — a reboot or factory reset will often resolve the issue.
Rebooting Your Smart Hub (Soft Restart)
A reboot restarts the hub without erasing any of your settings, automations, or device pairings. This is the recommended first step for most issues.
To reboot via the app: Open the Luxeia app, go to Settings > Hub, and tap "Reboot Hub". The hub will restart and reconnect within 60 seconds.
To reboot manually: Unplug the hub's power cable from the wall socket, wait 15 seconds, then plug it back in. The LED will cycle through colours before settling on a solid green, indicating it is back online.
Performing a Factory Reset
A factory reset wipes all settings and returns the hub to its original out-of-box state. Only do this if a reboot has not resolved your issue, or if you are moving home and wish to start fresh.
Important: A factory reset will remove all paired devices, rooms, schedules, and automations. This cannot be undone.
To factory reset via the app: Go to Settings > Hub > Advanced > Factory Reset, then confirm when prompted.
To factory reset manually: Locate the small reset button on the underside of the hub. Press and hold it for 10 seconds using a pin or paperclip until the LED flashes red three times. Release the button and allow the hub to restart.
After a Factory Reset
Once the hub has reset, you will need to set it up again as if it were new. Open the Luxeia app and follow the setup wizard to reconnect the hub and re-add all your devices.
